BEYOND NUTRITION

While a believe most of our Nutrition should come from whole foods. There are certain things we can’t get or in the right amount in food alone. Where food stops, supplementation begins.

Here are a few supplements I have found in my experience to support a healthy active lifestyle.

I’ve also found doTERRA essential oils to be a great support for an active lifestyle.  Here are my faves! 


Deep Blue rub- I use this for sore muscles post-workout, but also pre-workout. Applied beforehand, the anti-inflammatory blend of essential oils helps keep soreness to a minimum!  Also does wonders for muscle spasms. 

Peppermint- this saves me the extra cup of coffee when I need that boost of energy fast!  Inhaled or dropped under the tongue, it's like a burst of adrenaline. Peppermint is actually clinically proven to help focus and stamina as well. 

Lemon- when you're on the go like me, it's hard to always keep fresh lemons with you, so I just carry my lemon oil around instead!  A few drops added to each 8 oz. water serving tastes wonderful, just be sure to use a glass or stainless steel water bottle. 


Lavender- we all know sleep is super important, and some nights it's especially difficult to get a good rest. I like to use a few drops on my pillow or a diffuser on my nightstand to help me relax and drift off into sweet slumber :) 

On Guard- this is a blend of immunity support essential oils including clove, cinnamon, orange, and eucalyptus. I drop a few drops under my tongue daily to keep my immune system strong.  When I feel a sickness coming on, I up the dose or make a throat spray with it. 


Melaleuca- also know as Tea Tree oil, this is amazing at healing cuts and sores, as well as protecting your feet from athlete's foot.
